Welcome to Wellington Deaf Society!
Deaf? Hard of hearing? NZSL Interpreter? NZSL Student? NZSL Tutor?
Looking for opportunities to hang out with other people outside of school, university, and work, to use NZSL in a natural setting? The Wellington Deaf Society offers regular opportunities to do so. It was set up in 1938 to provide social, sporting and recreational activities for the Deaf community. It has grown a lot since then. We have regular Deaf Club gatherings at various places around Wellington, as well as special events throughout the year.
Anyone is welcome – bring your family and friends along too, and encourage them to become a member! Membership is free - email firstname.lastname@example.org to join.
A welcome from Shannon Krogmann, the WDS President.
